The Name

Why A Truth Seeker's Daughter ? The name pays homage to the shop owner's mother who often wrote under the username Atruthseekr. She was a creative woman who had an insatiable thirst for knowledge and spent years studying different religious theologies and forms of mysticism. Those passions would go on to heavily Influence her daughter's practice.

The exploration and creation of the shop itself represents a commitment to continuing not only one mother's legacy, but homage to the tradition of passing on knowledge and serving the community that itself is the foundation of many mystical practices. After all escoterica and the metaphysics are inherently the art of seeking truth and enlightenment.

A Truth Seeker's Daughter represents the owner's peronal journey, following her mother's lessons and beyond; as well as the journey of any spiritual practitioner seeking knowledge and the truth in all things. The shop embodies an unwavering commitment to the pursuit of self realization and the magic of the world that surrounds us.

Rooted in a lifelong fascination with artisan crafts, occult, folklore, and mythology Shawna has a rich knowledge of many spiritual practices and their origins. Ever the champion of the misfit and marginalized she dedicated herself to creating opperunities and space for individuals to embrace their inner-most-selves (and their magic). Seeking to inspire others to embark on their own journeys of personal growth and empowerment. With a genuine desire to create a community rooted in magic, personal expression and spiritual exploration she is dedicated to providing products that uplift the mind, body, and spirit.
